I recently moved back to Fishers, IN  and was thrilled when MashCraft Brewing opened a new location near my home.  MashCraft consistently has a large variety of beers on tap and I feel that they are producing some of the most unique and flavorful beers in Indy.  They really have something for everyone and always keep my taste buds enlightened.

I discovered that Riesling is one of the most versatile grapes in the world.  It can be used to make dry wines all the way to sweet desert wines, with luscious versions along the continuum.  Today, if you asked me what my favorite wine grape is, I would say Riesling.

With the popularity of rosé growing, many winemakers are producing their own, including wineries in Northern Michigan.  During my recent visit to Traverse City, I had the opportunity to visit several wineries on the and the Old Mission Peninsula. I was pleasantly surprised to find so many great and Leelanau Peninsula affordable dry rosés to help build my stockpile for the fall and winter. 

Late winter is the perfect time to find discounts on Dry Rose, while wine shops make room for the new vintage to arrive.

I recently made a visit to Heady Hollow in Fishers, Indiana (a northeast suburb of Indianapolis) and was very impressed with their beers.

We recently attended the 19th annual Brew-Ha-Ha in downtown Indianapolis.  This event featured more than 50 craft breweries from all over the country, with strong Indiana representation.  Of all the craft beer festivals in Indianapolis, this one is my favorite. 

Recently, we have been purchasing a lot of Chardonnay from the Finger Lakes wine region.  My husband and I started visiting the Finger Lakes wineries regularly about five years ago.
